How to use the French and Italian Writing/Speaking Lab online system

1. Go to https://byu.mywconline.net/

2. If this is your first time using the online scheduling program, click “register for an account” at the top of the log-in box.

3. The registration will ask for information such as your email address, phone number, and student ID.  

  • There are also options to opt-in or out of receiving email reminders and an optional iCal link. Hit “register” once you have filled in all fields.

4. Once completed, the registration page will take you back to the log-in screen.

5. Login with your email address and the password you just created. Make sure to select the correct schedule from the drop-down list before clicking “log in”.

6. A page will appear with the calendar of all available appointments for your selected lab. 

  • Navigate to the correct date range using the arrows near the top of the page.

7. Lab assistants with available times will be listed on the left, underneath the date.

  • For each lab assistant, available time slots will show up as white cells, each representing a fifteen-minute block.
  • Time slots that are not available will be greyed out or dark blue.

8. To make an appointment, click on a white “available” cell for the desired lab assistant and block of time.

  • A pop-up window will appear listing the time selected and the location of the appointment. 
    • It will also have drop-down lists that allow you to modify the appointment start and end times.
  • You will not be able to reserve appointments that are longer than a half-hour in length or during times when the selected lab assistant is unavailable.
  • Similarly, you will not be able to reserve more than 30 minutes of total appointment time each day.

9. Click “Save Appointment” to close the pop-up and finalize your appointment. The time slot you selected will now be yellow in color.

10. To cancel an appointment, click on the time slot you reserved and click “cancel this appointment” in the pop-up window.

  • Please note that appointments must be canceled within two hours of the time your appointment begins or it will be counted as a missed appointment.
